Development of Training Programs Within the Framework of EU-Armenia Cooperation

Delegation of the European Union in Armenia, the Greek Parliament, the Italian Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Italian Republic are implementing a twinning program for Armenia. ” Strengthening the capacity of the National Assembly of Armenia to further support CEPA oversight and implementation” Program began in December 2020. The overall goal of the Program is to strengthen democracy in Armenia by developing the main functions of the legislative body. Within the framework of the program, Eleni Kanelopoulou, the head of the program from the EU Member state, and Nektarios Kyriakou, the resident consultant of twinning, are currently in Armenia. The Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia, as a provider of civil servants, welcomed representatives of the program on January 26. During the join meeting with Rector Khachatur Ghazeyan, Tereza Khechoyan  (Head of the Centre for International Cooperation and Development), Artak Baghdasaryan (Head of the Centre for Supplementary and Continuing Education), Gayane Hovhannisyan (Head of the Centre of Quality Assurance) initiated a new cooperation, development and implementation of joint programs.
