“Jesus’ Cat” is on the table of German reader

The Public Administration Academy of RA proudly announces the next success of Academy staff member, Grigor “Grig” Shashikyan. He is the author of the book “Jesus’ Cat”. German translation of the book won Coburger Rückert-Preis literary prize.

In 2015 Grig’s collection of short stories were published in Armenia, then republished in 2017.

 It was immediately accepted by Armenian readers and continue to be in great demand, maintaining its stable position on the list of best-selling books.

“Jesus’ Cat” was translated into German by Wibke Jolman and Anahit Avagyan. The German edition of the book became possible thanks to the efforts at the publishing houses “Antares” and Swiss “Kolchis”.

The author is grateful to all those who contributed to the creation, publication and translation of the book, and hopes, that ” Jesus’ Cat ”  literary success  will contribute to the recognition of the country and Armenian literature, will pave a way for Armenian authors.
