Lecture and Discussion: “Research Skills in Digital Age”

 

 

On April 19, the representatives of Transilvania University of Brasov (Romania), Professor Angela Repanovici, Coordinator and Expert of numerous international projects with international recognition, an experienced specialist in the field of scientometrics, information and academic literacy, Professor Calin Rosca, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marian Repanovici, the representative of the administrative staff, visited PAARA within the framework of the EU Erasmus + program in the field of international credit mobility of teaching and administrative staff and students in accordance with the Inter-institutional Agreement. The Academic and administrative staff, graduate and PhD students of the Academy participated in the meeting.

Khachatur Ghazeyan, Rector of PAARA, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of cooperation between two universities, the beneficial of mutually exchange programs of teaching and administrative staff. He also expressed hope for continuing visits.

Professor Angela Repanovici expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome of the Academy staff, emphasizing that it was not the first time she had received such a welcome, for which she is very grateful.

Tereza Khechoyan, Director of the Centre for International Cooperation and Development of the PAARA, reflected to the close partnership with the Transilvania University of Brasov, which started in 2015, the effectiveness and prospects of projects within the framework of cooperation. She expressed confidence in the success of the joint projects.

Professor Angela Repanovici delivered a lecture on “Research Skills in Digital Age.”

In her speech, she touched upon the features of conducting research work, provision of necessary conditions for researchers by university libraries, the need for proper use of references in research, opportunities and applicability of “Open Access”, directions of researches, scientometrics and bibliography. She also called the audience’s attention to those important software platforms that facilitate the work of a researcher, providing a high-quality result.

With consent of Prof.  Repanovici, the material provided by her, will be placed in the electronic database of the Academy (digital repository). The Open Access platform (DSpace) will allow academic staff, Master’s and PhD students to access the mentioned source.
