STUDY VISIT TO THE EUROPEAN PARTNER UNIVERSITIES

PAARA as a member of the Tempus VERITAS Project intends to organize its doctoral programs and PhD activities in whole in compliance with Zalsburg principles. This process is facilitated not only by seminars, workshops and trainings held by the coordinators and heads of the project, but also by the study visit to European universities, which took place from 14 to 28 of November 2015.

This significant event PAARA was presented by Rector Mr Arsen Lokyan and Head of Post-graduate department Ms Naira Ghazaryan.

The participants visited  4 European HEI-s, got aquanted with and studied scientific research processes and doctoral schools at those universities, revealing  applicable mechanisms for the Armenian doctoral education system. European host partners – Girona (Spain), Bath Spa (Great Britain), Heidelberg (Germany) Universities and Royal Technical Isntitution in Stockholm (Sweden), gave huge material and information, conducted study visits, scientific and practical meetings and discussions which were of a great benefit for the development and further improvement of doctoral study in Armenia.

Among the above-mentioned universities, PAARA is involved in the working group with Bath Spa University and an agreement has been already reached to implement a pilot program on psychology at PAARA after VERITAS project is over.
